UPDATE 2/25/2020: I initially stated that I would do an update in 3 months from my post below, but felt it was only right for me to give an update now, since all my request/issues have been completed and properly addressed. Thanks to property management for assuring that all things would be handled (refrigerator issue, garbage disposal, and several other things). But I would like to give a BIG THANK YOU to Reginald for being the person handle all my noted issues and leaving notes to let me know the status of my request. Colony Woods you rightfully deserve 5 STARS. Thanks!
Update: Today I contacted the property manager and after speaking with her, she assured that all of my issues would be addressed and that she did. Once all issues were addressed she called me back to inform me that all matters had been addressed, so to the property manager and the maintenance team thank you for addressing all matters swiftly. I greatly appreciate it.Do after addressing all matters Iâve up the stars from 1 star to 3 stars and will adjust it accordingly after my 3rd month.
Let me first start by saying, " Where the heck was these reviews before I moved in this place". And yes I fault myself for not viewing the actual apartment before moving in, but to my defense, I judged the apartment off of the still of the model apartment....BAD IDEA, my apartment is not even close to the design of the model apartment. My advise to you is to go view the apartment you will be moving in.
Now on with the issues....there are so many things going on in these apartments to the point is of NO RETURN. I've barely been here 2 weeks and have had more issues than someone living here for a year. and the show of concern is very little. At the cost of monthly rent here we should be treated as if we have value.
Issue - the tubs in the bathrooms had drainage issues (I corrected that issue with a bottle of drain cleaner, when it rains in rains in the front door (door seals need to be replaced), some of the eyes on the stove don't work, the refrigerator is all busted/cracked up on the inside and the ice-maker simply don't work (I'm not sure how I missed this when I did my right up), and I had to replace toilet seats and shower heads due to them not coming clean. I have not seen any issues with bugs just yet and hope that I don't because I don't do well with bugs. Let's Pray!
I don't know who the last tenant was but they failed to remove a water hose used for the washing machine due to it being rusted on. Now the problem comes in to play when I put in a service request for maintenance to remove it, now had this been removed prior to my moving in a request would not have been needed. I made attempts on my own to remove it but I was truly unsuccessful, even bought some rust remover stuff. Now I say all of that to say this, "if the apartment was not ready to be rented then that comment should have been made and I just may have went with another apartment or different complex.
If you are look for a place to call home please make sure you ask all the right questions and review the apartment thoroughly before you make a commitment.
